I’m a sunny boy from a primary school in Cixi. My name is Conry. I have many hobbies. I usually learn dancing on the weekend. I’m good at hip-hop and popping. I can play the piano as well. Reading helps to open eyes. Books are my best friends in my spare time. I read all kinds of books, especially the books about science fiction.
Unit 2 A Little Friend, Kyle
Who is Kyle? Can you guess? HAHA! Kyle is my puppy. I like him very much. His body is brown. The hair is smooth and?glossy. He has two big ears, two big and bright eyes. Whenever I call “Kyle” loudly, he will run to me and wag his tail. Kyle is so warm and nice. He is very friendly to everyone. When I go out to play basketball, he always follows me and says hello to my friends. We all love him.
Unit 3 Tree Planting Day
March 12th is Tree Planting Day. It is a very special day this year because of COVID-19. We can’t go to school. I stay at home and plant flowers and trees around my grandmother’s garden with mom.
My mom dug the holes and I put the trees and flowers into the holes. Then we pushed the earth hard with our feet. I wish they can grow taller day by day.
Unit 4 Chinese Spring Festival
The Spring Festival is very important to Chinese People.
On the eve of Spring Festival, my parents prepare much food and drinks for me. My grandparents give “Hongbao” to me. There is lucky money in it. The whole family gets together to have a big meal and say goodbye to the last year. We welcome the New Year happily. And we set off fireworks after meal.
On the first morning of the Spring Festival, everyone wears new clothes. Mum always asks me to put on a white shirt and a black suit, then we go to pay a new year call to the elders.
Unit 5 Four Seasons
Every season brings its joy.
Spring is green with flowers and songs. I always go to the parks to fly kites and play with my friends. We can observe fish and tadpoles in the pool. It is so interesting.
Summer is hot and the days are long. It’s my favorite season. The swimming pool is full of laughter. Of course, eating ice cream is joyful, too.
Autumn is golden and farmers are busy. It is a cool, and suitable for camping. I usually go on a picnic with my friends. My parents take me to the farm to pick apples as well.
Winter is white and the year is gone. The happiest thing is to play in the snow. I can make a snowman and go skating. Winter is a season to welcome the Spring Festival. Most of my friends like it.
Unit 6 Take more Exercise
The stronger the body, the more intelligent the brain.
My father always asks me to take more exercise. Playing sports is very important in my daily life. I have many hobbies. I like playing basketball and football in PE class, sometimes badminton as well. On the weekend I go swimming with my parents. Doing sports makes me healthy. I think it is such a funny thing to keep the body more flexible.
