Firstly, I find that some his ideas about nature are close to the Chinese traditional thinking---Confucianism ，which maintain a dominant part in whether the ancient times or the modern times. it seems that he want to emphasize something harmonious, which could make people become aware of life. Just he said that yet it is certain that the power to produce this delight, does not reside in mature, but in man, or in a harmony of both--the sky is less grand as it shuts down over worth in population. So the sense of harmoniousness about every aspects in what you concerns, such as politics, economy, art, science, religion, mind, soul, should be paid more attention. But what is harmoniousness in essence? I imagine it is the highest realm of spirit. Emerson pointed that the nature is soul in fact, and the beauty of nature is certainly a good mind and virtue. In other words, there is definite links between soul between our daily life, it tells us how to live with a good morality, how to be a more successful man and what are value of our life. Admittedly, he is similar to Confucius, because they both put everything in a balanced position, and they made no efforts to expose importance of soul. Although they gave us ideas , a sense of mystification and over-soul, we also sense more quiet feeling about what our thought are. This is a life attitude and teach us how to face difficulties ,how to keep happy and how to be a man what we want to be.
Secondly, I want to talk about the negative aspects of his statements. I feel something he mentioned was unrealistic. Just like his saying- there is a property in the horizon which no man has but he whose eye con integrate all parts, that is ,the poet, this is the best part of these men’s farms, yet to this their landdeeds give them no title. The other famous sentences-nature says .he is my creature, and maugre all his impertinent griefs, he shall be glad with me. He always attributed everything to the soul, as a matter of fact, his ideas is how to be a wise man (sage),but these sayings are not adapted to the advancement of the contemporary society, because only we consider soul important ,it is not possible to attain a successful way. So we need more communication with the outer world and more tastes for good thing rather than just soul. As is well known to all, the competition is stiff in society, the last things we should understand is virtue( good soul, the beauty of soul) and proper conducts are important. Sometimes , even the effect of the proper conduct outbalances that of the soul.
