快乐动手 勇敢开口     ——There be句型学生自制卡片案例分析及反思

        一、案例背景:
        本课题是深圳牛津版4BU10 Around my home第二课时的内容,主要的核心单词有home, park, restaurant, supermarket, street, shop, near, behind, around。核心句型是Is there a park near your home?及其回答。本课教学目标主要是操练第一课时学过的核心单词和There be句型。为了给学生们创设一个比较真实的语言环境,第一课时给学生布置了制作核心单词卡片的作业,既能让学生巩固第一课时的核心单词,又能为第二课时的学习提供真实的道具。这样既一举两得,又让作业和课堂有趣生动起来。下面我将选取学生操练的环节加以评析。
        二、案例描述:
        1、操练单词
        师:Boys and girls, are you ready to show your cards?
        生:Yes! (兴奋地拿出准备好的自制单词卡片)
            
        师:Now I will invite some students to come to the front and show their cards. Lily, please.
        生1:拿着卡片走上教室前。
        师:Now let’s do quick response.
        生1:随意抽取手中卡片展示给同学们。
        台下生:supermarket(大声回答)
        ........
        师:Ok, you did a great job. Now please use your own cards to practise with your deskmates.
                
        [反思] 学生在自信地展示自己卡片的同时,又能在课前让全班再次巩固和温习相关单词,为句型操练和表达做好充分的准备。


        2、操练句型
        师:Children, look at blackboard, please. Here is my home.(point to the card on the blackboard) Is there a park near my home?
        生:Yes, there is.
        师:Yes, you’re right. There is a park behind my home. Is there a restaurant near my home?
        生:No, there...
        师:Emm...Some students are right. We should answer “No, there isn’t.”Are there any shops near my home?
        生:Yes,there are/is.
        师:Yes, “there is” or “there are”?
        生:There are.
        师:Good! Pay attention. When ask “Are there...?”, we should answer “Yes, there are”. When ask “Is there...?”, we should answer “Yes, there is.” Are your clear?
        生:Yes.
        师:Look at here. There is a fruit shop near my home. So we can also answer “Yes, there is a fruit shop near my home.” Ok, Are there any supermarket near my home?
        生:No, there aren’t.
        师:Excellent! Now you know how to answer the question of “Is/Are there...?” I want you to ask and answer with your partner. Please put your cards on your desks.
        生:Ok.
        
        
        三、案例分析与反思
        以上简洁又生动的案例,说明教师在设计教学活动时,一定要为完成教学目标而服务,克服教学的盲目性,努力探索优化课堂教学的有效途径。英语作为一门语言学科,就语言学习的特点应该以应用性和交际性为主要原则。结合小学生学习的生理和心理特点,教学应尽量贴近生活,为学生创造熟悉的语言环境,让学生敢于开口,而且有话可说。这样学生亲自动手制作自己喜欢的卡片的作业,既可以让学生施展自己的才华,又能让学生在课堂上有话可说,对于教学目标的达成起到了很好的效果。培养了学生用语言交流的能力,同时也激发了学生学习英语的热情和兴趣。
