Abstract: This paper aims to improve the quality of engineering training in our country. For the current economic and social development, we have to cultivate various types of high-quality engineering and technical personnel. Promote our country to be a powerful country in engineering education.
Key words: curriculum design; new engineering teaching; engineering training
According to the implementation requirements of the new engineering, this topic make more effort to study the research on the curriculum setting in colleges and universities, and provide some new ideas for the engineering education. This work aims to train a large number of high-quality engineering and technical talents with strong innovation ability and accommodate the needs of economic and social development. It has great significance to the cultivation of higher engineering talents.
Curriculum system is an important bridge for realizing the talent training goal between the education concept and the practice. The ultimate realization of training objectives cannot be separated from the implementation of the corresponding curriculum system.
The United States is one of the most successful countries in engineering education in the world. The outstanding feature of its education is the multi-participation education model. The subjects participating in engineering education are not limited to the engineering field. We should make a comprehensive study and analysis of the history, society and economy of various countries and regions, establish a new model of engineering education. Many young teachers in the United States are given a large number of engineering practice opportunities during their undergraduate education, engineering practice ability is often cultivated from the freshman. So they have a good foundation of engineering practice by this way. Moreover, American colleges and universities have formed a good atmosphere of university-enterprise cooperation and industry-university-research cooperation. Most of America's innovation is done by the universities, thus, Young teachers have plenty of opportunities and conditions to participate in engineering practice after entering the universities. It can be said that engineering practical ability has already become one of the basic qualities of young teachers in American colleges and universities.
In the teaching of specialized courses, German universities employ some part-time teachers from enterprises to implement "Applied Project Teaching Method" in a larger scope. Enterprises accept and guide students to practice training as their own duty. German enterprises generally actively and strictly abide by the legal obligation to accept students from universities. And regard this kind of school-enterprise cooperation as an important part of the enterprise's own development. At the same time, they will sign agreements with universities, regularly receive young teachers who are newly recruited from colleges and universities to solve technical problems or work exercises in enterprises. During this period, the salary will be paid by the university to the teachers. At the end of an exercise, the enterprise will give a detailed evaluation report on the teachers' performance in the enterprise so as to provide reference for colleges and universities whether to continue hiring the teachers.
According to?our country's?realities?and?experience, integrating teaching content, actively explore the construction of a curriculum system to the training of new engineering talents, in order to connect with foreign advanced education. In the construction of modular curriculum system, firstly, according to the orientation of talent training, based on the general and industry standards of "new engineering", determine the training standard of the major. Secondly, the specific objectives of ability training should be formulated based on the professional training standards. Thirdly, according to the specific objectives of the students' knowledge, ability and quality requirements, determine the corresponding supporting knowledge points. Finally, teaching content should be optimized and integrated, the module is composed of knowledge points and knowledge application corresponding to the related ability elements. The module is designed based on the specific goal of ability cultivation. When the students complete a study on a module, they should be able to acquire the ability in the relevant areas. All the modules for professional training standards are organically integrated to constitute the entire modular curriculum system.
